Essex & Suffolk Water Company

The Essex Water Company was  acquired by Lyonnaise Des Eaux in 1988, which also acquired the Suffolk Water Company, and merged the two into the Essex and Suffolk Water Company in 1994.
1995 saw the acquisition by Northumberland Water, and Essex & Suffolk were integrated into the Northumbrian Water Group in the year 2000.
Laterly in 2011, the group were taken over by the Chinese, Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings.
